Sara Ridley – Principal

I opened Babel in 1983 at Cranford Community School, moving later to Heston Community School where we are very happy. I am proud of all our achievements. Watching children start with their tentative footsteps into class and blossoming into lovely, confident young adults. I like to think we teach more then dance, we teach confidence, discipline and integrity.

Nicola Odedra

I joined Babel in 1993, came up through the ranks, taking many exams. I teach tap at Babel but am happy to step in and support wherever it is needed.

I am a Primary School teacher in Hounslow, another job I love.

Nisha Lakhanpaul

I danced with Babel until the age of 18 and moved to LMA (London) where I graduated with a First Class degree in Performance. I trained in all styles but Commercial is my favourite. I am a Manager of a local dance and gymnastics business.

I have been supported by Babel throughout my journey and I now teach freestyle and acro at the school.

Japneet Matharu

I danced with Babel from the age of 7 and have loved dancing ever since. After taking a break whilst studying The History of Art at Nottingham University and Advanced Practice in Art at the Hampstead School of Art. I came home and returned to Babel. I assist in classes and am responsible for the social media for the school. I also travel the globe putting in art installations.

Rebecca Michie

Recently graduating from PPA in Guildford, I am a triple threat performer
confident in teaching any discipline to students. I have strong skills
in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Street and Contemporary. I am a passionate and
hardworking individual that thrives in teaching the skills I have acquired
over the years. I have lengthy experience in choreographing for youth
musicals, 1 to 1 singing lessons and acting classes. I am looking forward to joining the Babel family.

Anoop Odedra

I am responsible for all the tech. I deal with Class Manager. I am married to Nicola and our two sons are also students of the school.

Val Salter

I have been with Babel since 1993. I brought my three daughters Nicola, Karen and Katie along to learn to dance and I never left. I support the school on a Saturday, dealing with parents, taking uniform orders and helping in any way that is needed.
