Babel is back on stage!

For the first time since the pandemic, we returned to the stage. We went to Bishopshalt School and put on BGT. The show was all about awards – Brits, BAFTA’s, Grammies, Golden Globes and Tony’s. July 2023 was our big return. Congratulations to all those who took part and thank you to our past students who returned to support us, either by performing or helping backstage.

AMAZING GCSE RESULTS 2021

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Rekha Lakhanpaul, Carolann Rogers-Moore and Ruby Fortune on their GCSE Dance results 2021.  Our best results ever. It has been a challenging  2 years, with the adverse conditions through the pandemic. But, the girls rose to the occasion.  It wasn’t plain sailing by any stretch of the imagination, there were struggles, but success prevailed!

OUR FIRST DANCE FESTIVAL ENTRY

ANNIE PIC 2019

Congratulations to the children who took part in the Hounslow Dance Festival 2019. We haven’t entered a Festival for more than 25 years. Cara took “Annie” from our recent show and worked very hard alongside the children who also gave their all.

Cara said of their performance: “The other groups were very mature in look and their dances. Ours looked teeny, but I think ours had the most fun”

Comment from a parent “The girls and Daniel did so well. They danced brilliantly! Please pass on thanks to Cara for a job well done – she got them dancing so well!”

Babel Company Class are travelling to Disneyland Paris to perform!

They have worked so hard and passed the audition. We travel on 8th, perform on the 9th and home on the 10th April 2020. Families are travelling together for this exciting adventure. We are performing Bond and Come Alive from our show this year and taking 3 new pieces as well!

I am so proud of all the children and students who were totally committed to the audition process and to Charis and Sharon for their complete dedication to achieve our goal. We have a lot of work to do, but what an adventure we are embarking on!

Summer School 2019

A great week attended by 38 children and students aged 6-18 years. Classes in Ballet, Street and Acro every day for 4 days. Art and craft as popular as ever. One day out to the V & A in London. A performance for parents at the end of the week. Cara, Charis and Sharon worked as hard as ever to produce a fun filled week.

I felt safe and included

I can’t really put how grateful I am for everything that Sara and Babel did for me into words. I’ve always struggled with self confidence and the idea of actually believing in myself, but I never had to worry about that during those incredible year of dance. Sara always made sure that I felt safe and included, no matter how I looked or what my skill level was and don’t think I am ever really going to be able to thank you enough for that.

Congratulations Charis

Charis has qualified as a FitSteps Instructor. She passed her assessment at GOLD standard.

A Fabulous School

Well done for setting up such a fabulous dance school. My girls have learnt so much and flourished under your care and I truly wish we could take you all with us. Thank you for believing in them and for all your loving support. We will miss you.

An Excellent Training

At the end of my first year we had feedback tutorials on all our classes and when I went to one for movement, my teacher was so impressed. She said she could see that my body has had an excellent training and being able to move comes naturally. She said I could apply everything from that training as a dancer to having a free body when acting. Although she never does this in the first year, she awarded me a “First” for movement. I just wanted to say thank you for everything over the years, a lot of this feedback is down to the time and patience given to me as a dancer. The skills I have learned will continue to serve me now and in the future.
