Tap
Nicola Odedra is our Tap teacher. She is supported by Nisha Lakhanpaul in teaching younger children.
Tap Dance is an energetic, percussive, and rhythmic dance style where performers skillfully use their feet to create intricate melodies, striking the floor with accuracy. This lively art form comes alive with tap shoes featuring metal plates on the toe and heel, producing a unique sound. Renowned for its vibrant energy and flair, tap dance is a common highlight in popular musicals, both on stage and screen. It effectively promotes coordination, enhances rhythm, and strengthens as well as loosens the muscles in the feet, ankles, and legs. Tap dance is thrilling and enjoyable, making it a favorite among children eager to don those noisy shoes!
We offer Tap classes for children starting as young as 4 years old, following the esteemed Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus. Their exams and Medal Tests are recognised worldwide for their high standards of quality and excellence.
We are currently teaching syllabus classes up to Grade 6, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
Examinations are available for children beginning at the age of 5. For personalized guidance in choosing the perfect class for your child, please feel free to contact our office. We look forward to helping your child embark on their exciting tap dance journey.
